RENT Assistance
Roots of Resilience Project partnered up with Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCap) to support our local Black, Indigenous, and People of Color community with rent assistance.
(Please note that everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion, etc., is encouraged to apply for ERAP services.)
What does help with rent look like?
As liaisons, we will help you fill out the necessary forms for Emergency Rent Assistance Program (ERAP).
If you qualify, we can assist you in getting your application materials completed and submitted and get your rent paid. Vouchers may also be available for utilities including PUD, propane, internet, and garbage services. (Note: this is not assistance with obtaining housing, but with payment of rent.)
We are peer community advocates. We are not trained, trauma-informed care providers or case managers with access to other services. However, as your peers and fellow community members, you will be treated with respect and care, and we will do our best to advocate for you through this process.
We are not capable of providing housing or transitional placement of any kind. We acknowledge the limitations of this project and hope to grow more resources to better support unhoused folks and vulnerable people seeking more stable housing options.

We also want to acknowledge the anxiety that exists often around asking for help; this may be especially true for working class people and people of color because of unfair societal stigmas. We hope to help ease that anxiety and assist you with the help you deserve. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
