food ACCESS
Roots of Resilience Project supports grassroot efforts to grow and distribute nutritious, locally grown and produced food to community members. We also grow relationships and host conversations about food with partners and farmers.
Goosefoot Community Farm is an acre and a half certified organic vegetable farm in Chimacum, Washington. One hundred percent of the food we grow is distributed for free. Our collective formed as a response to the high rates of food insecurity in our county.
Our mission is to distribute high-quality, nutritious, organic produce through local partnerships to increase accessibility for all people regardless of employment status, housing situation, income level, sexual orientation, gender, race, age, or ability.
Goosefoot Community Farm was established in 2019. In our first year, we grew 3,000 pounds of produce, all distributed for free. Since then, our collective has rapidly grown with the support of our community, and we have distributed over 43,500 pounds of produce to date.
We currently have four distribution partnerships:

- Recovery Cafe, a drug- and alcohol-free space which uses our veggies to provide free meals for people in any stage of addiction recovery,
- The Tri-Area Food Bank, which serves 130 individuals and families each week.website.jcfba.org/tri-area/
