The Roots of Resilience Project supports regional climate resilience across the north Olympic Peninsula through collaborative project development, advocacy and coordination of community organizing -- with participation in the Climate Action Committee and Food System working group of Jefferson County, support for the Department of Emergency Managements emergency food response plan, and collaborative organizing with Community Wellness Project and other partners.
Roots helped fund and establish a model "micro-food hub" infrastructure project located at the Farmhouse at Finnriver, with a shipping container conversion to cooler and pack shed, currently utilized by local food justice and access projects.
